We’ve got the hilarious trailer from Warm Bodies here, and it’s making us seriously reconsider our thoughts about zombies being all gross and not redeemable. The film is based on a book of the same name by Isaac Marion, who happened to make our list of 15 Essential Zombie Books just a couple days back. It also stars that adorable guy who played Beast in X-Men: First Class, so we’re just sort of cooing in the corner at this point.
Stubby the Rocket is the Tor.com mascot. Stubby has a heart and sees no reason why undead people shouldn’t too.
Having read the book and enjoyed it very much this looks like a lot of fun.It appears to be pretty loyal to the book.
Corddry! Malkovich!
Looks like basically Footloose. Not necessarily a bad thing.
Overall the movie seems very close to the book in terms of plot but tone-wise looks like they aim for quirky action fun with romance and the book was about somewhat different things, imho.
I guess that’s why they changed main character’s appearance so much – he’s supposed to be a young professional in a business suit and here he might as well be an aimless college student. It’s relevant to his personality, so it’s not a random complain.
Well, I’m going to watch it anyway, it’s just not what I wanted to see but it may be not a bad thing.
